It’s important to do so in a safe way, utilizing only services that are authorized for use, and being careful with the types of data that you enter into these tools. PatriotAI grants access to multiple LLMs for chats in a secure environment. It offers a handful of pre-built AI agents as well as the ability to create custom AI agents and share them with others. As of May 2026, you are permitted to enter protected data into this tool.

Generate structured meeting summaries, highlights and analytics for sharing with stakeholders. Meeting hosts are responsible for informing attendees about AI functions and for reviewing AI-generated content for accuracy. Note that you should not enable Zoom AI Companion for meetings in which sensitive or confidential information is being shared.

Although ChatGPT may be utilized for some very specific use cases, its use is not supported by ITS and not recommended by UL Technology Services. Only public data that is accessible to anyone may be entered into prompts. Never enter data that you have access to only because you are a University employee (such as internal e-mail correspondence, or project and planning documents). It’s also important to turn off the “improve the model for everyone” setting that appears in some versions of ChatGPT.
Other LLMs including Gemini, Perplexity, NotebookLM, and Claude* may not be utilized by staff. Never enter GMU data into these tools.
