Janae Haaland, Interim Director, manages the technology support team for University Life. In her nearly 10 years with George Mason University, she has developed expertise with regard to data security, system integrations, and software planning, implementation and maintenance.

Mike Benedict, IT Support Specialist, is primarily tasked with procuring, inventorizing, and supporting hardware for Housing and Residence Life. This position also supervises student staff for both Housing and UL Technology Services and supports UL’s Mersive teleconferencing spaces.

Arne Bergquist, Associate Director, manages 3 full-time employees for Housing and Residence Life and serves as a backup for HRL systems. This position also provides hardware support for hundreds of University Life employees.

David Golden is Technology Manager for our student success platform, Navigate. David provides daily operation support, troubleshooting, and training to staff and student users of the platform.

Sam Greenberg, Marketing Cloud Manager, leads Salesforce Marketing Cloud strategies to boost student engagement within University Life. A key contributor to the Patriot Connect project, she collaborates with UL MarComm as a content strategist, overseeing technical aspects of Marketing Cloud and supporting UL users.

Brent Johnson is an Application Analyst who primarily supports Housing and Residence Life’s housing management application, StarRez. Brent is a subject matter expert on StarRez reporting and its integrations with other University systems.

Skyler Murphy is an Application Analyst who primarily supports Housing‘s card access control systems. He is the administrator of RS2, Traka, and OnPortal systems.

Deepali Nanda is an Application Analyst. She primarily supports University Career Services‘ staff and is the system administrator for Handshake.

Peace Ozioma Aniemeke supports the Mason360 team as an Application Analyst. She also provides supervision for our Graduate Professional Assistant, Benjamina Boamponsem.

Amber Shackleford, Student Success Technology Support Analyst, serves as a working group member for University Life on the Patriot Connect Project. Her work includes process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and change management. 

Faiza Shaikh is an Application Analyst who administers Student Health Services‘ Medicat application and provides technical support for its staff. She also manages Student Health Services’ call center system and provides limited support to the Counseling and Psychological Services team.

Casey Smith is Associate Director for Student Success Technology. Casey serves as the administrator of Navigate, Mason’s current student success platform, and oversees daily operations support, reporting, training, troubleshooting, and stakeholder engagement to meet current and evolving needs. Casey also serves as the University Life Liaison to the University’s Patriot Connect Project

Noe Todorovich, CRM Communications Coordinator, works closely with Enrollment Management and University Life to run reports and execute communications through TargetX (Salesforce) to incoming and current Mason students.
